Fine art poster with cyanotype print
Read more
Cyanotype on fine art poster paper.
Cyanotype is the oldest printing technique, which began to be used in the mid-19th century with watercolor paper, iron salts, plants or other objects, and the sun. When the paper is exposed to the sun, blue tones are formed - which is why cyanotype is called a sun print.
It is a completely analog process, and each image is unique. This is a reproduction of an original printed on fine matte paper.
This unique print is made from an original work created through the historical cyanotype process. Each print is produced in a garden setting using sunlight, iron salts, and a fern from my own garden, resulting in a stunning palette ranging from deep blue-gray to beige tones.
